North American Red Oak trees


I will describe on other furniture manufacturing timbers Red Oak, Mahogany and Mango. These Three timbers are frequently used for wooden furniture manufacturing. They have wonderful properties for using as raw material for furniture manufacturing. They are mostly used in Indian Zone and in this zone; it is more popular in Bangladesh. Most of the Bangladeshi Brand Furniture manufacturing companies (Example: Hatil Furniture, Otobi Furniture, Partex Furniture. Navana Furniture, Akhter Furnishers & Brothers Furniture) use these three timbers to produce furniture.

Red Oak Timber:

It is a beautiful timber for wooden furniture manufacturing. It is mostly used as furniture manufacturing raw material in Bangladesh. Red Oak timbers are found in North America, Africa and Europe. But North American (Canadian) Red Oak timber is best of them. It is open pore timber. Furniture made of Red Oak Timber is widely used in USA & Europe. Exclusive veneer is manufactured with this timber and then, Read Oak Veneered MDF/Board is produced for furniture manufacturing.

Red Oak Timber is wood worm protective if is seasoned (dried) properly with Kiln Dryer. But it can be affected by termite if they got moistly & dirty environment. North American Red Oak timber is extensively used in Bangladesh. There is a big market of North American Red Oak Timber. Furniture made of North American Red Oak Timber looks very beautiful. It is long lasting and durable.

North American Red Oak trees become about 60 to 70 feet high with diameters of up to about 3 feet. Red Oak Timber has white to very light brown sapwood and this sap wood is usually 2 inches thick. Its heartwood is a coffee to pink with a reddish-brown shade. It is normally straight grained with a coarse texture. North American Red oak wood is heavy, hard, tough, and strong enough. It has high crushing strength, medium stiffness, and medium bending strength. North American Red oak wood is considered a very good steam bending wood. It can be easily planed, sawn, turned, bored, and sanded well.  North American Red oak is commonly used for railroad ties, furniture manufacturing, cabinet making, interior works, Wooden Tiles/flooring, plywood, paneling, and veneers. But, Red Oak timber is not suitable for exterior work.
